free downloadable prints!
happy monday!
i've come to terms with the fact that i just do not nor will i soon have time to reopen my etsy shop. SO i'm offering my state/country prints for free download to you! it's hard to believe that this concept i thought of while driving in my car one day two years ago turned in to over 65 state/country designs. i have seen a lot of imitations since then which is why i decided to stop selling. thank you so much for loving it. i hope you get great use out of these in your homes!

heavy day.
hi friends. can i ask you something? if you pray will you include my cousin Brewer in yours tonight? he is just two days old & going in for open heart surgery tomorrow morning. he has a rare heart syndrome that affects only 4 in 10,000 babies. he is the sweetest most perfect baby & i know he has a life time before him of wonderful things. thank you from the bottom of my heart.

i'm sick.
i searched the word 'sick' on pinterest & this is the image i got. i was hoping for a girl, in bed with a thermometer but no such luck. these shoes MAKE me sick so i guess this will have to do?

let's cut to the chase. i'm sick. like strep, double ear infection, high fever, migraine i want to die sick! i haven't been this ill since...well ever i think. so my inbox is building in the most ridiculous way while i fight for my life {it's not that serious but just let me be dramatic.} i promise to get back to work asap but just want to publicly apologize for the delay in responding to e-mails & producing proofs.

wordpress announcement
i am SO excited to announce that i am finally able to work with WORDPRESS! i have had so many inquiries over the years where i have just simply had to tell clients no. i hate that! recently i worked with the lovely natalie over at nest design studio. i designed all the creative, then she had the ladies of twisted sisters implement the graphics and TS has agreed to work with me on future wordpress sites! so so so so excited. contact me again if we've talked before about your WP site-I'd love to help you!

enchilada soup
on monday's i have a babysitter come in to my house and play with my kids while i work from home the full day. this way i only have to work little bits here and there throughout the week to keep caught up. it works out great--except by the time the babysitter leaves i have NOTHING prepared for dinner usually. so i've taken up crock pot cooking on mondays and it works out grand. this week i made enchilada soup. it was delicious and the leftovers were amazing for lunch. try it-you'll like it.

tiny.
jude is almost 6 months and i'm sick about it. i didn't feel this way with quinn. i remember being so anxious all the time to enjoy the next stages in q's little life. but this time around i want jude to stay tiny forever. i want to bottle up all this sweet baby-ness and save it for a rainy day because is there anything more joyful then a 5 month old? no way.

apartment therapy
SO fun to see q's room on apartment therapy! and i loved all the comments about the aqua paint. i AGONIZED over it for days and had something like 8 swatches painted on the wall. and now--i can't even remember the paint color. i'll find it and tell you i promise!

bijou market: spring
my friends at bijou market have announced their spring dates!! so so so excited! thinking {only kind of} about possibly entering again. i have had so much fun in the past doing it. we'll see if i can come up with the time! check out their new spring look i created here.

i know i know this is a design blog. don't worry i won't be posing in a field and making my husband take pictures of my outfits any time soon. BUT i am so inspired in my designs by my clothing & fashion that i have to post about this skirt.

i ordered it last week. it came and it has easily become the most amazing thing in my wardrobe. this model must be TALL. i stand at 5'5 and this skirt hits at the most incredible mad men length, right below my knees. love love love it. i love it.

i finished up work with Brook on a logo & blog design for her company 'little fish' a while ago. she should be up and blogging in the spring but i can't wait another minute to post the creative we worked on! she was a joy to work with-and again this is one of my favorites ever. i'll post more about her company & blog when she's ready to go!

i wish i would take before snapshots of a blog before i work on them just to emphasize to people how effective and beautiful white space & a simplistic design can be! especially when working with a photographer i try to always encourage white space. the images should be the focal point of the blog, always! and since tiffany is SUCH a talented photographer, i was so happy in working with her on a design that showcased her work. this is one of my very favorite designs to date. i just love love everything about it. tiffany is a gem & instant friend. looking forward to convincing her to snap some shots of us when she's back in town!

cookie exchange party

bri invited me to a cookie exchange a couple weeks ago. it was so delightful! a bunch of cookies to eat & no kids....the makings for a pretty relaxing afternoon i say! i brought gingerbread cookies with pumpkin dip. they were the first recipe i've ever tried where the gingerbread was actually soft & scrumptious. bri is offering free printables of her gorgeous invitations she sent out. be sure to pin them for next year!

i decided against doing christmas cards this year but was convinced {bullied} in to doing one for my dear friend & neighbor :) good thing i love her cute little family!
